Facebook to me is like the iPhone. They're adding new applications to it every time I turn my head. So many companies are endorsing or adding a new feature on their site for Facebook connection such as Yahoo. The feature makes it so that with one click, your entire Yahoo contacts database is updated with all your Facebook contacts and all their personal information. Sounds pretty cool to me, since I'm a Yahoo user myself.

There is so much interesting features and developments on Facebook, it's incredible yet sort of creepy at the same time. I personally find myself creeping on friends or other people just to simply do it. There's not really any motive for me doing this, but to just ease my boring state of mind. Pathetic really, however I know that I'm not the only one. Yall know who you are!

I think this comic strip perfectly describes what Facebook is used for. Absolutely NOTHING!

Facebook has demonstrated a willingness to push the boundaries of user privacy. The constant sharing of photos, statuses, and ideas on Facebook is fun, but at the same time scary. Yes, you are showing your friends your personal information, however future employers could check what you posted on a certain day and if it was inappropriate then your future could be at risk.

On the other hand, businesses are not the innocent non-Facebook users. According to Network Box, 6.8 percent of all the URLs accessed by businesses goes to Facebook and 10 percent of internet bandwidth goes to Youtube. The study analyzed 13 billion URLs accessed by businesses and studied business bandwidths to find results, and found Facebook and Youtube leading other companies like Google and Yahoo.

7 times out of 100, the site visited by an employee at an average business is Facebook. The study didn’t look at time spent, but Facebook is the site on the web with the highest time spent per user, and surely this means that users may be browsing and stalking during extended breaks during their work day.

Facebook continues its technological advances with human kind quickly becoming addicted to the new stalking craze.
